GHS would like to recognize our September C.A.N. Champions. These champions were chosen by faculty and staff because of their hard work and dedication to following our district's motto, "Together, we C.A.N." Congratulations, September Champions!





It's almost homecoming time! Our GHS 2024 Homecoming Court has been announced. Now it's time to gather all GHS alums and organizations supporting our Mighty Go-Devils! Close Up is sponsoring a Tailgate Rental Night before the Homecoming game. 20x20 spaces will be available to rent for tailgating purposes. These spots will be located in the grassy area behind the Gurdon High School parking lot. The price for each 20x20 space will be $100. You can purchase as many spaces as you would like if you want a bigger tailgate area! Help support Gurdon Close up and reserve your spot today!


Xavier Laster is presented his MVP game ball by Brian Clark and Farm Bureau for his 197 yard and 3 touchdown effort against Parker's Chapel.


Gurdon Jr High Cheerleaders will be selling Spirit Ribbons ($2) and Tattoos ($1) on Thursday morning at GHS, CES, and GPS 7:45!

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. We can all help prevent suicide. 3 HOME GAMES THIS WEEK!
Our 7th grade and junior high teams play Dierks at home on Thursday and then our senior high plays Marked Tree at home on Friday!
District Wide Pep Rally Wednesday morning at 8:30!
Friday night is Youth Night at the senior high game!
We are asking all parents / fans / students / etc. to form a spirit line on Friday night at 6:50 from the back door of the field house to the Go-Devil tunnel!




Mrs. Russell's physical science students have been studying how electric charge can be transferred, and got to experience the transfer of charge from a Van de Graaf generator to their hair! They also built a small-scale Franklin Bells, a device Benjamin Franklin used to sound the alarm that a thunderstorm was brewing.






Flu shot forms will be sent home with students this week! The Clark County Health Department will be at GPS on October 15th from 8am-9am and CES/GHS from 9:15 am-12:15pm to provide flu shots to students at no out-of-pocket cost. Please return completed forms to the school nurse by September 23.

Due to severe weather predictions, the date and time for our district-wide pep rally festivities have changed. The new date and time are Wednesday, September 11, at 8:30 a.m. Please share the new date and time, and we hope to see you there!
