The snow came down but we can still see the STARS at GHS! Spring semester is just beginning but we already have students standing out! January students of the month: Senior Jacob Moore, juniors Bre'Asia Moody and Chris Olivas, freshmen Kaleb Cook and Daniel Cruz. Way to go!!

The PeeWee basketball games at Gurdon vs Hope Saturday January 13th will begin at 11:00am instead of 10:00am.

Dr. Pennington with Arkadelphia Clinic for Children and Young Adults will be at the GHS Wellness Center on Thursday if your child needs a medical appointment.
The Football / Cheer banquet will be Thursday January 25th at 6:30 in the high school cafeteria. Admission will be $10. Football players and cheerleaders will be admitted for free.

Nursing staff will begin BMI screenings next week. These screenings will be done in grades K, 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10. If you do not want your child to be screened, please send a signed note to the nurse’s office. Make sure the student’s name is on the note.
Check out some of our amazing Child Nutrition staff with the newly installed double-stack gas convection oven! This oven was purchased with a $16,519.00 NSLP Equipment Assistance grant.
We have also been awarded a $4,697.00 Farm to School Kitchen Equipment grant to purchase new food processors, tomato slicers, wedgers, fruit/vegetable dicers and french fry cutters for our two cafeterias!

Senior girls basketball plays Emerson tonight in the championship game of the Cougar Classic in Lafayette County.

GHS! Students may now view their final semester grades in HAC. Report cards will be printed when we return. Transcripts will be available January 12. When you login to HAC you must choose the marking period. Concurrent credit will not be available until January.
