CES 6th graders have been learning about surface area this week. Students led the lesson by working together to find measurements and solutions! Great lesson Mrs. Dillard!

Gurdon Public Schools would like to thank Becky Baumgardner and the Clark County Farm Bureau Women's Committee for the $400.00 donation to our school food pantry! Thank you for helping us to take care of our students!

Update! We will be running regular bus routes today. For the foreseeable future, GHS CAR RIDERS AND DRIVERS WILL RELEASE AT 3:10! We want to clear the parking lot to give our buses room to get our students on the right buses. With the construction and changes in numbers we want to make it as simple as possible.
CABE WILL STILL RELEASE AT 2:40. Thank you!

We really appreciate the grace that has been shown in these first days of the new school year with the bus changes. We realize it has been difficult and there have been many changes. We hope to get our regular schedule going soon. Please continue to watch for updates coming through text, Live Feed, and posts here on Facebook. We are working to get that information out as soon as it comes to us. Thank you to those who have reached out wanting to help with the bus driver shortage, we appreciate you more than you know.

The Gurdon School Board and Superintendent Dr. Vaughn took time tonight to recognize the dedication and hardwork of some of our staff members. Our bus drivers have a job of HIGH IMPORTANCE getting students to school and back home. Their mobile classroom is an environment of high expectations for respect and responsibility. Thank you drivers for ALL you do!

Day #2! It just keeps getting better and better!

FOR GRADES 2ND-6TH
POR GRADOS 2-6

Parents: Buses will run normal routes today. We may have to run alternate routes during the weeks to come, as we are trying to accommodate for available bus drivers. Mr. Self is working to get the routes stabilized and get our students home as quickly as possible. Please be patient as we make these adjustments.

Come join our team!

The first day getting started is always the most exciting! We're so glad to have our students back on campus. It was a day for new friends and familiar faces. All the smiles proved it was successful! Thank you for letting us be a part of your children's lives.

It has a great, albeit hectic, day for Gurdon Public Schools! We would just like to remind everyone that with all of the changes, there may be some delays on the afternoon pick ups and bus routes. Due to a driver shortage, we have one bus route that is going to be doubled. This may cause a delay of some IN TOWN students getting dropped off by about 45 minutes. Mr. Self is working to get all of our students home as timely as he possibly can and we appreciate his efforts.

Gurdon Public Schools would like to thank the Blue & You Foundation for three $1,969.92 grants to Gurdon Primary School, Cabe Elementary School, and Gurdon High School! The $5,909.76 total funded the purchase of 3 new Zoll AEDs, 3 sets of pediatric AED pads, and 1 AED Trainer to ensure that our students, staff and community are safe in the event of a cardiac emergency on campus or at school events. Be Great!
