GAMEDAY!!!
It’s all about CHEMISTRY at GHS! Chemistry students filled out a "dating profile" about their assigned element, and then began their search for love! They "speed dated" to see if they would make bonds with other lonely elements, and then practiced writing the chemical formula and name for each match. Mrs. Russell, we ❤️ your passion for your content and students!
We will start our required annual BMI and scoliosis screenings tomorrow at CMS and GHS. We will be working on these through February. BMI screenings will be done in grade 6, 8, and 10. Scoliosis screenings will be done on 6th grade girls and all of the 8th grade. If you want your student to be exempt from these screenings, please call the nurse's office at their school.
Congrats to Sydney Thomas! Sydney competed at the Dorcheat Subarea FFA competition on Monday. Sydney placed 3rd in both Job Interview and Farm Bureau Discussion. Way to go!!

Gurdon School District Spring Testing Dates
CMS students had a blast competing in our first campus-wide Escape Room! Students worked together in their groups to answer questions, solve puzzles and riddles, etc. pertaining to core subject areas. Students used prior learning to receive keys, unlock rooms, and move forward in their quest. Special thanks to the CMS students and staffulty that worked together to make this an incredible experience!

The Football / Cheer Banquet will be held Thursday January 26th at 6:30 pm at the high school cafeteria. The meal will be provided by the GHS cafeteria staff. Admission will be $10. Student Athletes will be admitted free.
