Congratulations to Tara Williams, Gurdon High School Teacher of the Year! Ms. Williams has served the Gurdon School District in different capacities since 1991, most recently as GHS Family Consumer Science Teacher. Ms. Williams is retiring from the profession this year. We appreciate her service to the students of the Gurdon School District!

Join our Team! Gurdon Public Schools is a district-wide Professional Learning Community where all staff work together for the benefit of our students within a systemic network of support for all.

We would like to thank Dr. Bray and the Bray Family Medicine staff for giving their time to serve 109 Gurdon student athletes last week. Students in attendance received a free physical and are ready to take on the next year of sports! A gift card drawing was held for students in attendance. Winners were Aiden Hughes and Jace Bradley (not pictured).

All student prescriptions and over the counter medications will need to be picked up by Wednesday this week. Have a GREAT summer!

GHS Commencement Ceremony 2021

From the Arkansas Department of Education:
The American Rescue Plan Act signed into law in March 2021, brings an unprecedented $1.25 billion to Arkansas schools. These funds create an opportunity to ensure quality instructional time, provide safe operations of schools, and address the academic, social, emotional, and mental health impacts of COVID-19.
It is critical for us as a state to get the input of parents and concerned citizens in order to better understand the impact of the pandemic. We need to be able to plan for the right resources and supports that will help our students emerge from this pandemic stronger. We need your help! Now is the time for your voice to be heard: please take a few minutes to complete the survey at the link provided.
Thank you in advance for completing the survey and for sharing it far and wide through your family and community network. We appreciate your feedback as we all work together to move our state’s children forward!
