Attention: Gurdon School District will release early on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Bus riders at the Primary School will be released at 11:15 a.m., Cabe Elementary bus riders will be released at 11:25 a.m., GHS car riders/drivers will be released at 11:25 a.m. and bus riders will be released at 11:30 a.m. Have a safe and happy holiday season!

Come join the Class of 2027 for a Christmas Classic, Home Alone! This is the perfect activity for a family night out or just with friends. Admission is $5.00 per vehicle and concessions will be sold.

Our High School CTE program represented well in the Gurdon Annual Christmas Parade. Way to bring that Christmas cheer, students and sponsors!

Next week will be GHS's Semester Exam week. To be exempt from testing, students should not have any unexcused absences and have either an "A" or "B" average in the class for the semester. Students are only required to be present during the time scheduled for their semester test. Busses will run their regular route, but they may leave once testing is completed for the day. Thursday will be used for students who could not take their tests on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. If you have any questions, please call the high school office.

If you have a child or grandchild that is between ages 0-5, be sure and sign up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library! This program sends your child a free book in the mail every month until they turn 5 years old. The halls of GHS were filled with early morning cheer for our teachers and staff! Hot chocolate, coffee, cappuccino and snacks were delivered by Santa's helper (Mrs.Hart) while the halls were decorated with cheer by our students.

THANK YOU! We would like to give a shout out to all the businesses, individuals, churches, pastors, and the various groups that fed our football teams and provided their devotionals on gameday. It takes a ton of different people pulling together to make everything work during football season from the moms providing post game snacks to the announcer on Friday night and everything in between. We have a great group of people that provide for our student athletes and we GREATLY appreciate them. If anyone was left off this list we sincerely apologize! There are so many people that provide for our kids sometimes it is easy to lose track! BE GREAT

🌟 Grateful and Blessed! 🌟 Today marks the last day before our break, and we couldn’t let it pass without expressing our extreme gratitude to Mrs. Anita Cabe and The Cabe Foundation for their incredible generosity. Thanks to their grant, our teacher’s lounge has been completely transformed into a relaxing and rejuvenating space for our hardworking faculty and staff. This afternoon, we had the privilege of hosting Mrs. Cabe and showing her all the wonderful upgrades, including: 💺 A massage chair (which Mrs. Cabe got to try out!) 🛋️ A reclining sofa and chair 🍴 A new table and chairs ❄️ A nugget ice machine 🚪 A French-door refrigerator 🔥 An all-in-one Ninja convection oven 💻 A functional desk/work area These additions have brought so much joy and comfort to our team. We are truly thankful for Mrs. Cabe’s continued support and dedication to our school. Her kindness inspires us all! Thanksgiving food box pickup is today from 2-4pm for those who signed up. To pick up a box, park behind GHS, come to the back Wellness Center door and ring doorbell. You will need to carry your box out to your vehicle. Thank you.

BASKETBALL -Schedule Update- This week’s games on Tuesday at Fouke, and Friday against Malvern have been canceled. Sr. Boys and Girls will tip off Saturday evening in Dierks at 6:15 (Boys) and 7:30 (Girls) against Spring Hill. There is also an addition to our schedule with Sr Boys and girls playing at Murfreesboro on Dec. 16 at 6pm
