Due to the uncertainty surrounding the timing of winter weather in our area, Gurdon Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 9th. While significant weather may not occur until late afternoon, or potentially not at all, the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.
The make-up day for this closure will be Friday, February 21st.
To support our students, breakfast and lunch bags will be available for pickup on Thursday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Primary School Cafeteria and the Cabe/GHS Cafeteria.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Stay safe!

The basketball games for tonight in Poyen have been rescheduled for Thursday January 16th.

Students in Ms. Stoll's Social Studies classes have been learning about technological advancements that were made during the Industrial Revolution. They were able to see firsthand what phones and computers use to look like.

SCHEDULE CHANGE:
Due to the threat of inclement weather this week's basketball schedule has changed.
The Pee wee and 7th grade games scheduled for Saturday will be made up at a later date.

With the possibility of winter weather later this week, we will be watching for possible conditions that will necessitate alternate plans for transportation or school hours. We will push out this information through our school social media outlets, phone alerts, and local news stations. We will make decisions as early as possible and get that information out quickly. Stay warm and welcome back!

Next week will be GHS's Semester Exam week. To be exempt from testing, students should not have any unexcused absences and have either an "A" or "B" average in the class for the semester. Students are only required to be present during the time scheduled for their semester test. Busses will run their regular route, but they may leave once testing is completed for the day. Thursday will be used for students who could not take their tests on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. If you have any questions, please call the high school office.
